Local Community Finder -- Searches local Google and Twitter space for events, communities, and people.

Pam's University Pin - Allows you to explore the TwitterSpace of all higher education institutions within an x mile radius of a zip code. Offers location search as well as two types of domain searches. Requires a free API key which is available at

Politician Parade (Twitter) - Allows you to add a state's House of Representatives members to a Twitter query. States with lots of members get multiple queries. Requires free ProPublica API key.

Twitter Receipts - Twitter Receipts has you enter a Twitter handle and a date, then queries The Wayback Machine for the closest snapshot of the Twitter handle to that date. Sometimes the Twitter interface might be in a different language, but all the content I've seen is in whatever language is appropriate to the Twitter account. The Wayback Machine page opens in a new URL.

Pam's Pin - Pam's Pin takes the address you specify and translates it into a location-based Twitter search URL which opens in a new tab. You can search for tweets in a radius of up to 100 km. You can also specify that your search only return tweets from verified accounts.

Senator Social Slices (Twitter) - Senator Social Slices allows you to explore the TwitterSpace of the members of the current US Senate. You can filter the accounts searched by birth decade/generation, zodiac sign, gender, political party, percentage of votes missed, and percentage of time that senator voted against their party. Or you can ignore the filters and just search senatorial TwitterSpace. Requires free ProPublica API key.

Congressional Social Media Explorer - The ProPublica Congress API includes information about the social media of Congress members. This tool takes advantage of that to generate focused Google queries for a members' social media space. Specifically it will generate Google queries that will search across the member's Facebook posts, Facebook photos, Facebook videos, and Twitter posts. Requires free ProPublica API key.
